I’m back with another “why other brides drive me batty” rant.
Girls, there are really no original ideas left. Seriously. So quit posting like you’ve come up with the best idea since sliced bread. There are thousands of other brides out there that are either not wearing veils, not hiring a traditional DJ, having a dessert-only reception, not doing a bouquet toss, not having a parent dance, not having bridesmaids, having two maid of honors, or not getting married in a church. You’re not unique. You’re just like everyone else.

Somebody needs to have some candy… and maybe a Xanax. You’re wedding is original - who else gets thier friend to draw a picture of them for their save-the-date cards and then uses their work connections to have them printed cheaply? Who else? No one! You’re way original, sir.

Every wedding is unique, because no matter how “traditional” or “non-traditional” it is, it’s special when it’s yours. I pretty much played by the rules with my wedding (although there was no garter/bouquet thing, and I did have that cupcake wedding cake) but it felt very special and unique to me because it was mine. Time to get off the Knot boards! : )

My wedding is going to be held in a dirty white van, and I’m going to wear a veil knitted out of bacon. That’s pretty damn original, and I’m going to be the most beautiful bride EVER!
