Semi-charmed kinda life

What have I been up to?

Well, first I did this:

(Immediately post-ceremony. If you look closely, you can see Lisa in the background!)

Then I did this:

(On the cliffs at Tulum. Sigh.)

Then I jumped back into real life full-force with both feet. From an email I sent to a friend:

So, this morning started with the discovery that Honda took our car payment SIX times. I called Honda when the call center opened and they have no idea what happened. They have me fax them a bank statement showing what the balance was, the 6 debits, and the new balance.

I leave at 11 for a doctors appointment. Just the regular three-month thing, so I’m not nervous or anything. Well, the doctor does all the usual listening to breathing and heart rate. He asks me if I can feel my heart racing. I can’t. He looks worried and orders an EKG, which they show up to do less than a minute later. Still nothing wrong on the EKG (I had 2 of them, plus an echo, in the hospital). He orders more bloodwork. He wants me back in a month.

I go to Quest lab to get blood drawn for the rheumatologist cause I have an appointment next Thursday and I was supposed to get this done before the wedding. They stick me twice to get it all. And they ask me what grade I’m in.

I get back to work, call Honda. They have no idea when the problem will be resolved, suggest that I file a dispute with my bank saying I didn’t authorize those 6 charges. I call the bank to do that and am told that I have to go into a branch to file the dispute. How long will this take to process? Likely 7-10 days.

I’m so drained and I just want to crawl back into bed and hide. Thank god the doctor also prescribed me some Zoloft.

And then I went to sleep. I’m kind of scared about this heart thing cause I don’t feel any different so who knows what kind of stress has been on my heart. It was first detected in the hospital 3 months ago, but who knows how long it was going on before then, and if it continued since I’ve been out. I’ve gotten my pulse checked a couple of times at various doctors and no one’s been THIS concerned, so I’m inclined to think that it comes and goes. Still, if you could think some good thoughs, that’d be cool. Going next Monday for the bloodwork. I also find out next Thursday whether or not I have arthritis or Wild Screeching Monkey Pox. Taking bets now.

Just gotta keep looking at those pictures and taking deep breaths.

Oh you look so happy and pretty in that honeymoon picture! Someone better check on Nate, too. I bet his heart was racing. Congratulations again and good luck with all that other grown-up type crap.
