We sprung mom from the hospital today! Yesterday the doctor told her that if she could eat/drink, walk around, and tolerate oral meds, she could go home. Well, those were the magic words. She was discharged today. We took her to the Iron Horse in Westwood, famous for their burgers with the cheese INSIDE. Supertasty. Then we got her settled and got on the road.
It’s been a long week with a lot going on so I’m happy to be home, but even happier that my mom is, too.

Glad to hear everything’s OK.

Yay mom. I bet a get-well card from Queel Latifa would make her feel even better.
(And by the way, my Word Verification thing today is “tipzi”, something I’d like to be right now.)

Oh yes, I mean QUEEN Latifa. Sorry, I must be tipzi.

Ok - first of all, I’m glad she’s doing ok. Second of all - YOU WERE HERE! I GREW UP going to the Iron Horse, eating Cheese on the Inside burgers. I work about 5 minutes away from that place. You must must must tell me the next time you are in this neck of the woods.

No way! I always forget you grew up in NJ. I associate you with Chicago. I saw your moving woes post. Congrats on moving back to the homeland! I would but I’m terrified to drive anywhere.
My cousin skated at Fritz Dietl for years so the Iron Horse was a fixture in my formative years. I grew up in Ridgewood.
