Man, Heath Ledger
I'm really pretty broken up about this, as stupid as it sounds. He seemed like a guy that had things right. Some of these celebrity deaths barely register but when I saw the "breaking news" crawl on E! at the gym today I almost fell off the treadmill. Really too bad.
Who isn't cheered up by his spirited serenade to Julia Stiles in one of my favorite movies ever 10 Things I Hate About You? Sigh.
So yeah. I'm sad over the death of what was essentially a stranger.

Late breaking 2nd entry
Another evening in the er. Same problem as thanksgiving. Even the same emt and same curtain area!
The indestructable Chocolate
I was at Downtown Crossing waiting for my redline train to work this morning. Nate had an interview so I was obsessively checking my phone to see if he had texted. I pulled it out one more time, fumbled, and it flew out of my hands and landed on the tracks!
Customer Service told me to stand there and wait for the inspector to come so I did. And hour goes by, nothing. I see a T conductor waiting for his train so I asked him if he knew anything about it. He suggested I go back to customer service. I did, they’re amazed that no one has shown up so they send me back down, this time with a T employee to wait with me. Next train that comes in stops, an inspector hops off and comes to talk to me. He was the second guy they called and he rushed right down for me, so that was nice. The train left, they called to hold up the next train, and he hopped down, grabbed it, and gave it back to me. 22 trains passed over it and barely a scratch on it!

Epiphany!
The 3 kings went home! We're not religious but Nate likes the tradition.
Expanding on today's picture
Yep, we got a Wii! A couple of days before Christmas Tiff, and online friend of mine, mentioned that she had a spare Wii and asked if anyone wanted it. I jumped at the chance. It arrived this week but was at the post office until I could get there today. Nate knew something was coming for him for "second Christmas" but didn't know what so I wrapped it up and made him open it.
I think I did pretty well with the surprise, don't you?
Now we need to find someone that has the WiiPlay/wiimote bundle in stock. No such luck today.

Do they have those? If so, sign me up. After last year's mild winter today was a bit of a shock to the system.
This morning walking to work my breath was fogging up my glasses cause of my scarf. The condensation then froze. I took my scarf off to clean my glasses and after a minute or so I started having trouble breathing cause of the shock of ice-cold air so I had to use my inhaler.
Yeah, I'm a giant nerd.
In other news, tomorrow is the halfway mark for stats. I have no idea if I even know what I'm doing but I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping up with it.

I've been meaning to do this with some sort of regularity and the new year seems as good a time to start as any! I hope to photopost one interesting picture of something I see throughout the day. It should be easier to stick to, I hope, because I don't have to be at my computer to do it.

I'm a 20-something New Jersey-born Boston transplant by way of Hartford and the quintessential Jill-of-all-trades. Hopefully I am the master of some of them.
I love to read. I have an eclectic music collection and like to post new mixes I make. Sometimes I watch movies. I think watch a lot of TV so it stands to reason that I talk about it a lot, too. I love crime shows and true-crime documentaries. I can do a mean Chris Hansen impression.
I'm a newsjunkie and like to comment on current events as well as what my favorite news anchors (Dan Abrams and Keith Olbermann) are up to.
I'm diabetic and on an insulin pump so I talk about a lot of health-related items, too. Like that totally awesome time when I had 10 laser surgeries, 5 on each eye, to zap away my peripheral retina. Yes, it did hurt as much as it sounds.
I'm on the road to nursing school, working like mad to complete my prereqs and praying I get off the waiting list before May 2008.
